The American Community Survey (ACS) collects race and ethnicity data from respondents according to the standards outlined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in Statistical Policy Directive No.15 (SPD 15). In March 2024, OMB issued updates to SPD 15 that must be implemented into all Federal information collections that collect data on race and ethnicity as soon as possible but no later than March 28, 2029. The Department of Commerce invites the public to comment on the timeline for the adoption of these updated standards for the ACS. In keeping with our mission and vision statement ANDL submitted  our organization's latest iteration of our original document in collaboration with New Negro Republic on April 27, 2023.

This is the Official ANDL Press Release addressing the newly released body cam footage depicting the murder of Sonya Massey at the hands of former deputy sheriff Sean Grayson of the Sangamon County PD located in Springfield, Illinois July 6, 2024.

As promised, ANDL participated in the (OMB) or Office of Management and Budget in regards to Initial Proposals for Updating Race and Ethnicity Statistical Standards April 27, 2023. We presented our official submission as an organization on behalf of the American Negro people.  This was a very historic moment for us as an organization as well as for our people letting the world know that- we are still here!
